Your website design is complete. All the apps and plugins are checked, if everything is properly configured. The links are tested and the pages and forms are properly set up. Your website is ready to go live. What's next?

The basics of Google is simple. Google request web servers to provide specified pages or content to scan for hyperlinks, which will lead them to the new documents or pages (on your website) that will be sent back to Google. After that, Google will process the pages that contain certain keywords. That's when your content becomes searchable. With this keywords, Google will rank your content accordingly and based on how relevant it is.

We understand that you may think your website is relevant, but you need to spell it out to Google - because that's how Google works. How can you do this?

  • Stay on your topic and be consistent with your content. If your niche is about website development, then your content should be related to web development.

  • Optimize your on-page SEO. On-Page SEO is done by optimizing both the content and HTML source code of the page. It will help your individual web pages to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic.

  • Never forget off-page SEO or backlinks from relevant sources.

Most of the algorithm of Google isnt so secret, like PageRank, which is how Google evaluates the importance of a site. If a site has a lot of pages linking to it, and vice-versa, Google will think that it is popular website. Google then looks at the content of the page for keywords to get a sense of what the site is all about.

That's why, before publishing your content, first install All-in-One SEO Pack plugin or Yoast SEO plugin and give Google a hand by specifying your keywords and descriptions for your pages and posts. If you have an e-commerce site like Magento or WooCommerce, these are listed as the "Meta Info" tab on your products and pages.

Googling yourself is a no-brainer. Naturally, Google will show you on the top page. Give your site time to show up and index with Google. Perform an SEO analysis, and follow all the necessary task that will help your keywords rank. Submit your URL to Google, connect your website to Google Analytics and Search Console. If you're a business, list your business with Google Place for Business. Content is important, the same goes for SEO.
